Join us, our sponsors and esteemed speakers for CPR’s 2022 Annual Meeting as we explore best practices to prevent and manage disputes involving complex technology issues, and examine the innovative ways in which technology can be used in alternative dispute resolution.

Technology is no longer just an industry – it is the backbone of the economy. Indeed, it is a transformative force for innovation and growth in every sector, permeating every aspect of our society.

 

And just as these emerging trends propel us forward, this greater connectivity, access to more data, introduction of artificial intelligence, and omnipotent Internet of Things are giving rise to a diversity of legal and compliance issues for both technology creators and providers, as well as the organizations that rely on technology. 

We are, therefore, in need of better, smarter, faster dispute management. Courts simply cannot keep up.  Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) offers flexible solutions that allow technology-related disputes to be prevented and/or resolved with the same innovations, options and opportunities that fuel technology principles in the first place.

 

Indeed, the complexity of some technology disputes may require a diversity of approaches to resolve, from negotiating certain outcomes to mediating or arbitrating others.  Dispute management provides that flexibility.

As much as we wanted to provide an in-person component at this meeting, we feel that a fully virtual event will be safer and more accessible for everyone in our community. Therefore, we will deliver the full meeting virtually as we did in 2021.

ABOUT CPR

Established in 1977, CPR is an independent nonprofit organization that helps prevent and resolve legal conflict more effectively and efficiently.

CLE CREDITS

This program has been approved for a maximum of 9.0 New York CLE Credits, including 1 Credit in Ethics and 1 Credit in Diversity, Inclusion and Elimination of Bias.

​This course is non-transitional and for experienced attorneys only. 

The CPR Institute has been certified by the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board as an Accredited Provider of continuing legal education in the State of New York. CPR is a non-profit organization. Under financial hardship guidelines, at its discretion, CPR may waive the fee for attorneys who demonstrate that they are not currently employed (not retirees). CPR may also provide a special discounted price to attorneys, full-time judges and administrative law judges practicing in the non-profit and public sectors full time.
